Add Internet Friends to AIM 6.1 Buddy List Window

This article is to assist you with adding your Internet friends to your AIM Buddy List if they use the AOL or the AIM service.

Add Your Internet Friends to Your Buddy List

To add your Internet friends to your Buddy List window, they must register with the AIM 6.1service. During registration, they will create an AIM screen name you can add to your Buddy List window.

To add your friends to your Buddy List:
1. Log in to the AIM 6.1 service.
2. In the AIM Buddy List window, click the AIM menu, and then click Add Buddy....
3. On the New Buddy window, in the Screen Name:, box, type the AOL screen name or the AIM screen name of the buddy you wish to add.
4. Click the Buddy Group: drop-down menu to open it, and then click the group you wish to add the buddy to.
5. Click the Save button. Your new buddy will display in your Buddy List.
