Alert me when in AIM 6.1

AIM 6.1 allows you to be alerted when a buddy returns from being idle, signs on or signs off.

Set the Alert Me When option

The Alert Me When option is usually switched on as default. If this feature isn't working properly, you can check to make sure it hasn't been turned off.

To set the Alert Me When option:

1. On your Buddy List in AIM 6.1 , click a screen name.
2. Click the Edit menu, then click Alert Me When....

Note: You can also right-click a screen name, then click Alert Me When....

3. Under Alert Me When:, click the option box to select it or clear it to set when to be alerted.
4. Under Alert Me How Often:, choose the desired alert option by clicking it to choose how often to be alerted.
5. Under Alert Me How:, click the option box to select it or clear it to set how to be alerted.

Note: If you want a different alert sound, click the Use an Alert Sound drop-down menu to open it, choose a sound from the list, then click it.

6. Click the OK button.
