Are you using Firewall software?

If you have any firewall software running on the PC you may need to adjust the security settings to allow you to access web pages through AOL.

The firewall needs to be set to allow both AOL and Internet Explorer to pass through it. If this has been done already, try dropping the security level on the firewall one setting, and then test again.

If you are having problems, or are unsure how to adjust the security level, contact the program vendor. If you have uninstalled your firewall, you can either reinstall it and then lower the security level, or contact your computer dealer to ensure all of the program's files are removed from Windows.

Firewalls often leave files behind within Windows when they are uninstalled, and may still affect any Internet programs that you use. Removing these files will ensure no interference.
