AOL Software:

AOL software: AOL downloads, installs, and updates on User's computers software programs that may be necessary to enable the features and functionality of the AOL experience. Depending on what sotware you use (including which version of the of the AOL Online service that you use), the AOL software installed in connection with your use of AOL may include:

  • AOL client software (all versions up to and including AOL® 9.0 Security Edition and future versions); AOL® Instant Messenger"; AIM® Triton; AIM® Pro, Safety and Security Center, which may include among other software anti-spyware protection, anti-virus protection, and a firewall; AOL® Explorer (browser software); AOL® Media Player; PC Optimizer; Total Care; AOL® Privacy Wall; Xdrive® ; Active Security Monitor; various AOL toolbars for Microsoft® Internet Explorer and Firefox® browsers; AOL music services software (such as the AOL Media Player and AOL® Music Now); and Radio@AOL.
  • Similarly, AOL provides other companies' software to support the features and functionality of the AOL Service (such as media players, and rich media experiences on the KOL® service and AOL® SuperBuddy" icons). Which may include: Adobe® Acrobat Reader® (document reader); Macromedia Flash®/Shockwave® (rich media applications); Microsoft® Internet Explorer; Quicktime.
