Broadband modem setup

If you connect to the internet using a broadband modem, we recommend that you download and run the Broadband Modem Setup Tool. This tool will ensure that you have the latest network settings giving you optimised connectivity.

The Broadband Modem Setup Tool should be used if you connect to the internet using any of the following modems:


BT Voyager 50 BT Voyager USB ADSL Modem BT Voyager 100 BT Voyager 100 USB ADSL Modem
BT Voyager 105 BT Voyager 105 USB ADSL Modem BT Voyager 190 BT Voyager 190 ADSL Modem


Note: This tool is for Windows XP and Windows Vista users connecting to the internet with a broadband modem only. This tool cannot be used on any other operating system.

If you use a modem router such as Netgear, Thomson SpeedTouch or D-Link, this tool is not required.

Download and install the Broadband Modem Setup Tool

Important: Before you continue, please ensure that you have your screen name or network user ID to hand.

To download and install the Broadband Modem Setup Tool, take the following steps:

1. Download the Broadband Modem Setup Tool.
2. When prompted to save the file, select a memorable place such as your desktop.
3. Once the file has been downloaded, double-click BB_Modem_Setup.exe to install and run the tool.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
