Information you need
You will need to know what version of Microsoft Windows is installed on your computer. If you do not know how to find this information, follow the instructions in the online help article entitled How to determine which version of Windows I have.
Check system requirements
We suggest you make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements so that you don't face any issues at the time of downloading the software. If you try to download and install the AOL software on a computer that doesn't meet the system requirements, you may experience problems with either the software or the computer.
To check if your computer meets the minimum system requirements:
1. Click the Start button, select Programs or All Programs, select AOL, then click AOL System Information.
Note: Windows Vista users will see AOL 9.0 VR and AOL on the Start menu, click AOL then AOL System Information.
2. Verify the values in each field to identify if they meet the minimum system requirements found at Installing AOL.
3. Click the Close button.
