Change a web page's appearance with AOL Browser

You are in control of your web experience. You can change the way you view web pages to suit your preference. You can increase the size of the web page you're visiting, use high contrast, and remove background images for easier viewing.

Resize the web page for easier viewing

The Zoom Page In feature resizes the entire page, including images. The web page is fully functional regardless of its viewing size. Zoom Page In affects only the current web page, which means that any subsequent pages you visit will be viewed in their default size.

To increase the size of the web page:

1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Tools menu, then select Power Browsing.
3. Select Page Display, then click Zoom Page In.

To return the web page to its normal size:

1. Click the Tools menu, then select Power Browsing.
2. Select Page Display, then click Zoom Page Out.

Note: You can also click the Reload button on your browser to return the webpage to its regular size.

Use high contrast

You can set the AOL Browser to a high contrast colour scheme to help read hard-to-see or poorly-designed web pages, providing a black background with white text and blue hyperlinks.

To use high contrast:

1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Tools menu, then select Power Browsing.
3. Select Page Display, then click High Contrast.

Note: To remove the contrast, click the Reload button on your browser.

Remove background images

Sometimes background colours and images can inhibit ease of reading. Use Remove Background Images to view the web page without distracting backgrounds. For example, using this Power Browsing feature on a page with a dark grey background pattern and black text reloads the page with the background colour reset to the default colour.

To remove background images:

1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Tools menu, then select Power Browsing.
3. Select Page Display, then click Remove Background Images.

Note: To remove this feature, click the Reload button on your browser.
