Registering for an AIM screen name is a simple and free process.

AOL members do not need to register their AOL screen name for AIM 6.1. You can just sign on using your AOL screen name.

You need to download and install the latest version of the AIM software in order to register a new screen name.
To register for an AIM screen name:
1. Go to www.aol.co.uk/aim
2. Click the Get a Screen Name link on the AIM sign on screen to go to the registration page where you can register a new screen name.
3. Fill out the required fields. This will let you register successfully.
