Confidence scams

People trying to trick you into giving out your password or billing information may try to gain your confidence by posing as an AOL employee. They may pretend to be an AOL Billing, Conditions of Service (COS), or Technical representative. They may also send you a link to a website that looks like an official AOL website but that will transmit your data to the wrong people.

Note: AOL employees will never request your billing or password information via email or instant message.
