Configure your modem router

To set up your Netgear DG834 modem router on your Apple Mac, you will need to access the modem router settings pages and configure it to connect to AOL Broadband:

Configure your modem router to connect to AOL Broadband

1. Using Safari, type the following URL into the address box and press enter: http://192.168.0.1
2. Enter the user name and password.
Note: By default, the user name is admin and the password is password. If you ever changed these login details please enter the new user name and password.
3. Click OK to open the configuration page.
4. In the menu on the left, under Setup, click Basic Settings.
5. In the Login box, enter your AOL screen name followed by @aol.com (screenname@aol.com).
6. In the Password box, type your AOL password, then click Apply.
7. Click Test. This will test your connection.
8. If the connection was successful you will see Connected beside Connecting to server. Click Close Window.
9. If the connection failed repeat steps 5 to 10 and click Apply.
