Do any of our services incur extra charges?

Usage of the internet access service is billed at one single rate, depending on your price plan. (For more information on our price plans, see Pricing options.)

The only exceptions are as follows:

1. Unlimited Use areas:
(This does not apply to unmetered plans, eg Anytime or AOL Broadband) We do not charge you for online time spent in "Unlimited Use" areas - though the cost of your normal telephone connection (where applicable) still applies. An example of an Unlimited Use area would be the AOL Help channel - AOL Keyword: Help.

2. International access:
If you are connecting to the internet from outside the UK using AOLnet, AOLGLOBALnet or other access networks, you may be subject to an additional communications surcharge. Further information on these surcharges can be found at AOL Keyword: Access Numbers.

3. Premium Services:
There are a number of premium services which incur additional charges on the AOL UK service, for example sending text messages to mobile phones at AOL Keyword: IM2Mobile. If desired, it is possible to block access to such services by visiting http://parentalcontrols.aol.co.uk. Please note that AOL reserves the right to introduce additional surcharges for the use of specific content and services on AOL, at its discretion.
