Control who can send you email
You can choose to limit the people who can send you email or allow email from anyone using AOL email on the web.
Note: You need to be signed on to a master screen name or a screen name on a general access category to adjust the email controls. A master screen name is the first screen name you created for this account and any screen name you have assigned master screen name status at AOL Keyword: Names.
To control who can send you email:
1. Go to http://email.aol.co.uk.
2. In the Screen Name box, type your screen name.
3. In the Password box, type your AOL password.
4. Click the Sign On button.
5. Click the Settings button.
6. Click the Spam Controls link.
7. Click the Control From Whom I get Email button.
8. Choose one of the options by clicking it. You have the following six options available:
- Allow email from all senders: Anyone can send you email.
- Allow email only from AOL members: Only AOL members can send you email.
- Allow email only from people I know: Only people listed in your Buddy List or address book can send you email.
- Allow email only from senders on my Custom Sender List: Only the email addresses and domains listed in your custom sender list can send you email.
- Block email from all senders on my Custom Sender List: All email received from the list of email addresses and domains in your custom sender list will be blocked.
- Block email from all senders: All email will be blocked.
9. Click the Save button.
10. Click the Blocked email should be: drop-down menu to open it, choose an action from the list, then click it.
11. Click the Save button.
