About email on the web
Email (electronic mail) allows you to exchange messages, documents, photographs, and sounds, with anyone with an email address, virtually anywhere in the world, virtually instantaneously.
There is no charge for sending or receiving email on the AOL email on the web service.
To sign on to AOL email on the web:
1. Go to http://email.aol.co.uk.
2. Enter your screen name and password, then click the Sign On button.
Note: If your web browser displays a Security Alert message, click the Yes or OK button to continue.
You've got email
You will know that you have email waiting to be read two ways:
- On the Today page, you will see the message [number of messages] New Messages.
- On the Email section, you will see the number of messages next to the New Email folder.
The New Email folder (or Inbox, depending on your settings) is automatically and regularly refreshed, so there is no longer a need to manually click a button to see if any new messages have arrived. If you'd like to manually refresh the folder, click the Email button near the upper right of the window.
How to read AOL email on the web
You can use a web browser to read your email through the AOL.co.uk web page. After you open a message, the message no longer appears in bold font on your message list. Only unread messages appear in bold.

2. Click the subject of the message you would like to read. A new window will open.
