Find out who owns the website

How can you tell whether or not the web page you're browsing is legitimate? Use the Who Owns This Web Site feature in the AOL Browser to get complete WHOIS information about the website.

Display web page ownership

Ownership information displays in a separate browser tab, including the owner, the domain name, and other important identifying information.

To display web page ownership:

1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Security menu, then click Who Owns This Web Site?.

Note: To turn off this feature, simply close the WHOIS browser tab.
