Dealing with abusive content online

We want all AOL users to enjoy their time online, and we provide various tools and standards to allow you to make the most of your online experience.

If you encounter abusive or inappropriate content when using our service, we encourage you to report it so we can ensure that appropriate action is taken.

Unpleasant and offensive behaviour on AOL
If you witness another AOL user behaving inappropriately, please report it so we're able to take appropriate action. You can report inappropriate and offensive content by using the Notify AOL button that appears across the service. If there is no button available, check out our Notify AOL area.

Unlawful content
If you encounter illegal content on the internet, including images of child abuse and racist content, you should report it to the Internet Watch Foundation.

Suspicious behaviour with or towards a child
If you encounter any suspicious behaviour with or towards a child, please report it to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre by clicking the button on the left.
