IM forwarding with AIM® 6.1

You can request to have IMs you receive when you are not signed on forwarded to your mobile phone.

IM forwarding requests are confirmed by sending a confirmation number to your mobile phone to ensure it supports text messaging.

Note: Your wireless service provider may charge you for text messages you send and receive.

To set up IM forwarding with AIM® 6.1:

1. Sign on to the AIM® service.
2. Go to settings and choose the enhanced IM tab
3. Choose manage mobile settings
4. After you receive the confirmation number, in the Enter confirmation code: box, type the confirmation number you received.
5. Click the Confirm button.

Note: Ensure your phone is on. The confirmation number may take several minutes to be delivered to your phone. If you do not receive the confirmation number, IM forwarding may not be available on your phone.
