Highlight links to other web pages
AOL Browser's power browsing tools give you many options to find and use hyperlinks. You can highlight links on the current web page, highlight links to other web pages, and list links in a new browser window.
Highlight all links
The highlight links feature highlights all the links on a web page in green, making hyperlinks easy to find.
To highlight all the links on a web page:
1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Tools menu, then click Power Browsing.
3. Click Highlight Links to Other Web Sites.
Note: To remove the highlights, click the Reload button on your browser.
Highlight links to other websites
Highlight links to other sites refreshes the current page with hyperlinks colour-coded. Green hyperlinks refer to links to places within the current website. Red hyperlinks mean the link is to a different website domain than the current web page.
To highlight hyperlinks to other websites:
1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Security menu, then click Hightlight Links to Other Web Sites. You can click any of the hyperlinks listed in the newly opened window to navigate to that site in a new AOL Browser window.
Note: To remove the highlights, click the Reload button on your browser.
List links on this page
The List links on this page feature lists all the hyperlinks found on the active web page in a separate browser window. The links are listed in the order of their occurrence, and can be used for navigation.
Note: Not all web page types will respond to the List links on this page. Links from embedded Shockwave, Flash, Java applet or other rich media formats cannot be listed; only links that are part of the site HTML.
To list the hyperlinks in a web page:
1. Navigate to a desired web page.
2. Click the Tools menu, then click Power Browsing.
3. Click Utilities, then click List Links on This Page. You can click any of the hyperlinks listed in the newly opened window to navigate to that site in a new AOL Browser window.
