How can I access FTP sites?
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a means of transferring files over the internet directly from one computer to another. FTP sites are public computer systems with large amounts of files (software, games, pictures, etc.) freely available for public download.
Many major download sites are also accessible via the web (which is much easier to use), so usually the only time you'll need to use FTP directly is if you've created your own web page and you want to upload it to your free web space.
To access FTP, sign in: FTP. From there, you can either go directly to your web space in order to upload files, or you can choose from a list of popular FTP sites if you wish to download files from elsewhere on the internet.
