- Be vigilant about protecting your identity.
- Only share pieces of your personal information with companies or individuals with whom you initiated contact, and those whom you know and trust.
- Only use one credit card online.
- Securely destroy documents containing your personal information (household bills, credit card receipts etc.) by burning, shredding or tearing into small pieces
- Memorise your Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) instead of writing them down.
- Finally, check your credit file report every year by contacting a credit reference agency.
