Parental Controls are currently only available to Broadband members. Note that this includes members on a dial-up price plan.
You will need to create a seperate screen name (a seperate screen name is a seperate log-in) for each child that you wish to set Parental Controls for.
To create a new screen name for your child:
1. Go to Screen Names.
2. Click Create.
3. Type the answer to your Account Security Question and click Next.
4. Select the appropriate account type or age category for the screen name you are about to create.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to select the new screen name and password.
Repeat this process to add screen names for other children in your household. Your child can use this new screen name and password to ensure he/she is protected by Parental Controls. This will help protect them from inappropriate information and sites on the internet.
You can further tailor your child's Parental Control settings by going to Parental Controls
and changing the settings as required. You can monitor your child's online activities and set time limits to limit the amount of time a screen name can spend online.
Internet Access Controls
Internet Access Controls (IACs) are designed to work alongside Parental Controls. They reduce the risk of children encountering potential threats or inappropriate websites by requiring password access to Internet-related programs on your computer.
Before you can use Parental Controls properly, it is important that you install Internet Access Controls (IACs).
