AOL Welcome Screen: Letter/font size
Can I make the letter/font sizes bigger?
Yes. This can be done as follows:
1. Click Start, then Programs then Internet Explorer.
2. From the menu at the top of the screen, click view.
3. Click text size, and then change the text size.
Or with your mouse pointer over the page, simply hold down the control key and roll the scroll button on your mouse (if you have one).
Why can I only see part of the window?
The new HTML pages are richer and provide you with more content within one window. Some of this content cannot be viewed all in one window. This means that you may be required to scroll down or up to view this content. Alternatively, you can change your screen resolution to a higher setting, therefore displaying more content on your screen.
How do I scroll?
Like the Web sites you visit within the AOL software or via Internet Explorer, the HTML pages are richer, more enhanced and therefore bigger than the traditional AOL content windows. This means that you have access to more content and products within a single page.
To view content that seems to be off the base of your screen, you can use the scroll bar on the right-hand side of each window. You can scroll through these by either clicking on the arrows at the top and bottom, or clicking on the grey block (within the scroll bar) and holding this down. When you then move the mouse the window will scroll. If you prefer, you can also use the up and down arrow keys, or the page up/page down keys.
