Install multiple AOL accounts on the same computer
To have multiple AOL accounts installed on one computer, you will need to install a new version of the AOL software for each additional account you wish to access. Screen names on the same account do not need separate installations of the AOL software.
It is recommended that you exit all software applications that are running, while you install the AOL software to avoid installation problems such as program conflicts and low system resources.
To install an additional copy of the AOL software:
1. If you have Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP on your computer, you need to login to the computer as the administrator in order to install the AOL software.
2. Start the AOL Setup Program.
- If you have an AOL CD, insert the CD in your CD drive. The AOL Setup program should start automatically.
- You can download the software at AOL Downloads or when you sign on AOL using your AOL software and visit AOL Keyword: Upgrade. The AOL Setup program should start automatically.
3. Click the Current Member click here button. You will be given three options for installing the AOL software.
4. Choose the Adding your existing account to this computer option by clicking it, then click the Next click here button.
5. On the Select Destination Directory screen, click the Next click here button to install AOL in the standard location (e.g., C:Program FilesAOL 9.0 VR). The installation process starts.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
