Managing favourites in AOL Browser
You can manage your AOL Browser favourite places by organising the folders and favourite places so they are easier to find.
Edit a favourite place or folder
You can rename a favourite place or folder and change the URL for a favourite place.
To edit a favourite place or folder:
1. On the AOL Browser window, click the Favourites menu, then click Manage Favourites....
2. Click the favourite place or folder you want to edit to highlight it.
3. Click the Edit button.
4. In the Name: box, type the new name.
5. If editing a favourite place, in the URL: box, type the new URL.
6. Click the Save button.
7. Click the Close button.
Move a favourite place or folder
You can organise your favourite places and folders by moving them around to make them easier to find.
To move a favourite place or folder:
1. On the AOL Browser window, click the Favourites menu, then click Manage Favourites....
2. Click the favourite place or folder you want to move to highlight it.
3. Click the Move button
4. Next to Place In:, choose one of the options by clicking it. There are three options available:
- Start Up Folder: If this option is chosen, the favourite place or folder will appear in the Startup Folder folder. The favourite place or favourite places in the moved folder will open automatically when you launch the AOL Browser software.
- Favourites Bar: If this option is chosen, the favourite place or folder will appear in the Favourites Bar folder.
- Selected Folder: If this option is chosen, you can select the folder you want the favourite place or folder to appear in by clicking to highlight it in the box below.
6. Click the Close button.
Delete a favourite place or folder
You can remove favourite places and folders that are no longer used.
To delete a favourite place or folder:
1. On the AOL Browser window, click the Favourites menu, then click Manage Favourites....
2. Click the favourite place or folder you want to delete to highlight it.
3. Click the Delete button.
4. Click the Yes button.
5. Click the Close button.
Create a new folder
You can create new folders to help organise your favourite places.
To create a new folder:
1. On the AOL Browser window, click the Favourites menu, then click Manage Favourites....
2. Click the New Folder button.
3. Next to Place In:, choose one of the options by clicking it. There are three options available:
- Start Up Folder: If this option is chosen, the new folder appear in the Startup Folder folder and any favourite places added to the new folder will open automatically when you launch the AOL Browser software.
- Favourites Bar: If this option is chosen, the new folder will appear in the Favourites Bar folder.
- Selected Folder: If this option is chosen, you can select the folder you want the new folder to appear in by clicking to highlight it in the box below.
5. Click the Close button.
