Message: 'Sending email attachments or embedded files with this account is not permitted.'

You will receive the message 'Sending mail attachments or embedded files with this account is not permitted,' because of the Email Controls for your screen name.

Note: You need to be signed on to a master screen name to adjust the Email Controls. A master screen name is the first screen name you created for this account and any screen name you have assigned master screen name status at AOL Keyword: Names.

Email cannot be sent with embedded pictures or attached files if the screen name is blocked from receiving pictures and files in email.

To allow pictures and files in mail controls:

1. Sign-on to AOL and go to AOL Keyword: Mail Controls.
2. Click the Controls for: drop-down menu to open it, select the screen name whose Mail Controls you wish to adjust from the list, then click it.
3. Next to Content Filter:, click the Edit link.
4. Click the Block messages containing pictures or files box to clear it.
5. Click the Save button.
5. Click the Save button.
