You can think of a blog, which is short for weblog, as a kind of homepage that can be quickly and easily updated. It's a place where you can record your thoughts or views on almost any subject, adding comments and commentary as you go. You can illustrate your blog with images taken from your Pictures, and you can let your readers know how you're feeling - even what kind of music you're listening to.

We have made keeping a blog easy. You can add entries directly on the page, or you can send them in by Instant Messenger. When you start a blog a special screen name (or 'bot') is added to your Buddy List, and the IMs you send appear almost instantly in your blog.

Blogs are interactive, too. When you start yours, you can have us send an email to likely readers. They'll learn what the basic subject of the blog is and how to get there. They can read and see what you've posted, and they can also add comments of their own. You have to be a member to start a blog, but anyone with access to the internet can view your blog and add comments to it.

Because blogs can be added to continuously, they can get very large very quickly. For this reason, only the most recent entries are shown. You can always see everything, though, just by clicking Older Entries.
