Protect your PFC with a password
Because your Personal Filing
Cabinet (PFC) is available when you're not connected,
by default it can be accessed without typing in a password. If
other people use your computer, you can set up a password to
prevent unauthorised use of your PFC.
To set up a password for your Personal Filing Cabinet:
1. Sign on and select Settings from the toolbar.
2. Version 9.0: Click on the A-Z tab, then click L-Q, then click Password Store.
Version 8.0 and below: Click Passwords.
3. In the box beside your screen name, type the password you wish
to use, and then tick the PFC option. (For simplicity, we
suggest that you choose the same password that you use to sign on.)
Then, whenever you or someone else attempts to view your Personal
Filing Cabinet, they will be prompted for the password.
To change or remove this password, follow the above steps again,
but change the password you type in at Step 3 (or un-tick the
"PFC" option to completely remove the password).
