Reporting an email violation

If you receive unsolicited emails, or emails violating the AOL Conditions of Service, please forward the email to one of the following screen names:

  • COSUK if the email has been sent by an AOL member.

  • COSFILES if the email contains an embedded file or a file attachment.

Notes:
  • When forwarding the email to AOL, it is important to do so by clicking the Forward button while reading the email in question. This ensures that all the information from the original email is included. It is not necessary to copy and paste any text from the original email when you click Forward.
  • Members using AOL 8.0 or 9.0 can alternatively report spam by clicking the Report Spam button in your mailbox.
  • Spam reports are processed in batches but because of volume we will not be able to acknowledge your report. They are, however, taken very seriously.
  • For helpful hints and tips to help prevent junk email, go to AOL Keyword: Spam.
