Reset the web settings in Internet Explorer preferences.

By resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings, you reset it to the original settings from when it was first installed on your computer. To reset your web settings to their original Interner Explorer defaults, please follow the steps below.

  1. Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
    Windows XP/Vista users: Click Start, then Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options.
    Windows XP/Vista users may need to click Switch to Classic View first.
  3. Click the Programs tab on the top of the Internet Options window.
    Windows Vista users: Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Reset Web Settings button and then click Yes.
    Windows Vista users: Click the Reset... button then click Reset.
  5. Click OK to apply the changes and exit Internet Options.
