Run a manual AOL Computer Check-Up scan

Computer Check-Up gives you two options to scan your computer. You can run a manual scan, or schedule automatic scans.

We recommend that you run Computer Check-Up at least once every two weeks. You can run a manual scan whenever you wish to.

To run a manual scan:

1. Click the Start button, select Programs or All Programs, select AOL, then click AOL Computer Check-Up.
2. Click the Check Now button.

Note: If the Check Now button is not visible, click the Check Your Computer option on the left of the AOL Computer Check-Up window, then click the Check-up Summary tab. The scan may take several minutes to complete.

3. Once the scan is complete, any issues found will be listed under the Check-up Results tab. Follow the onscreen instruction to fix all identified issues or select the issues you would like to fix.
