Should I use an 0845 access number?

No. Members on any of our freephone price plans (e.g. Anytime) should only use access numbers designated as ' freephone'. To ensure you are using the most appropriate freephone number, please sign-on to the AOL software and go to Keyword: Best Number.

If you use any other access numbers, eg an 0845 access number, you will be paying for your telephone connection (at BT local call rates) while you're connected to the internet.

In the case of Off-Peak All The Time and Light Usage, your standard online usage charge (eg 1p a minute) will also apply, in addition to the cost of your telephone connection.

If you do connect using an 0845 access number while using a freephone price plan, we warn you of this by a special pop-up message that will appear on your screen, advising you to change your access number to one which does not incur any telephone charges.
