AOL Broadband and Microsoft Windows 7

Windows 7 is the newest version of the Microsoft Windows operating system and is available now. Most new computers will come with Windows 7 pre-installed. It is also available as an upgrade for existing Windows computers.

See below for information about Windows 7 and AOL Broadband. Further help and support is coming soon.

If I get Windows 7, will I be able to connect with AOL Broadband?

Most routers and Ethernet modems will work with Windows 7, so you'll be able to get online with AOL Broadband. If you try to run your Easy-Install CD and you receive a message saying the installer has not been tested with Windows 7, you can continue the installation or you can set up your router manually.

If you intend to connect wirelessly with a Windows 7 computer, you'll need a wireless adapter that's supported on Windows 7.

If you are upgrading to Windows 7 and you already have a wireless adapter, please check with the manufacturer if the adapter will work on Windows 7.
