You may lose your connection to AOL Broadband on your Macintosh computer for any one of several reasons. To fix the problem, try one or all of the following:

Check the physical setup

Connection problems might be caused by something as simple as a loose connection to the modem router or a filter. Check the connections are correctly set up as follows:

1. Disconnect all phones and equipment (fax machines, Sky box etc.) from the wall phone sockets. Be sure to check every telephone point.
2. Locate the master phone socket and plug the filter directly into this socket.
3. Plug the grey line cable into the Modem side of the filter.
4. Plug the other side of the grey cable into the grey port on your modem router.
5. Plug the yellow ethernet cable into one of the yellow ports in the back of the router.
6. Plug the other end of the yellow ethernet cable into the Network Interface socket in the back of your computer.
7. Plug your modem router into a power socket and switch it on.

Please note: For the best performance, AOL recommends that you always use your master socket and the DSL cable provided. Remove extension cables if present.
