If you update the AOL password for the screen name used to configure your Netgear modem router you must enter the new password in your modem router setup.

To change the password on your modem router:

1. Using Safari, type the following URL into the address field: http://192.168.0.1

2. Enter the user name and password.
Note: By default, the user name is admin and the password is password. If you ever changed these login details please enter the new user name and password.

3. In the menu on the left, under Setup, click Basic Settings.

4. In the Password box, type your AOL password that corresponds to the screen name in the Login box.

5. Click Test.

6. If you see Connected in the Connecting to server box this means that you have successfully connected. Click Close Window and try to connect to AOL again.
