What are Enhanced Settings?
Enhanced Settings are a group of improved features. Version 9.0 has expanded the functionality of some of your favourite features, such as Buddy icons and Desktop Themes. These enhanced features work best when your PC has 128MB or more of memory (RAM) installed.
When you install Version 9.0, the program checks your computer's RAM, and if it detects less than 128MB of memory installed in your computer, enhancements to these features are disabled by default but the basic feature is still available. This is done because disabling these features may improve your computer's performance when interacting with the service.
You can turn any of these features back on, but the feature may not function properly or you may experience slower interactions with the service.
For directions on how to turn Enhanced Settings on and off and a description of what the enhancement for each feature is, read:

Notes:
-- If you install more memory so that your computer has more than 128MB of memory installed, you can sign in: Enhanced Settings to enable the enhanced features. Alternatively, you can reinstall the software to automatically enable all the enhanced features.
-- If your computer had less than 128MB of memory when you installed the software, Video Messenger,Spyware Protection and Port Magic are also not available. If you later add more memory, you must reinstall the software to be able to use these features.
