If you've forgotten the password to any of your screen names, you can choose a new password yourself, without needing to contact Member Services.
Using the AOL software:
Simply try signing on to the screen name in question, as normal.
If you get the password wrong twice, you will be given the option
to reset the password, provided you can verify your identity by
confirming certain details about your AOL Broadband account (for example,
the name of the account holder).
Note: This feature only works when connecting via modem (not
TCP/IP) and is not available when signing on as a guest. If you
encounter problems resetting your password, please contact Member Services for assistance.
Not an AOL Broadband Member?
If you are not an AOL Broadband Member, but use services such as AIM or AOL Email, click the I forgot my password link on the Screen Name Service sign-in screen. This link will take you to the Forgot Password screen. Enter your screen name on this screen and click submit. Soon after submitting your screen name you will receive an email from the Screen Name Service asking you to confirm your request to reset your password. Enter your new password in the fields provided and click submit.
