What is the Old mail folder on AOL Mail ?

The Old Mail folder contains e-mail messages that you have read.

Notes:

E-mail messages will be automatically deleted from your Old Mail folder after 30 days.

Optionally, you can change your display settings to show a unified Inbox folder, instead of the New Mail and Old Mail folders.

If using the unified Inbox view, e-mails will remain in your inbox until you delete them. You can keep the e-mail as new by clicking the Keep as New button.
